GUIDING SCRIPTURE:   Colossians 3:14-17

OUR MISSION is to assure the unity of local Christian women

Provide an annual event that allows local Christian women to inspire and challenge one another through the Word, Worship and Prayer

Encourage and support Christian women in identifying their giftedness and/or purpose for the building up of the body of Christ

Build up the next generation of local Christian women leaders

At Intentional Sisterhood you will find women who desire to be transformed because deep within their soul they crave to know who God is. We “speak in to” each others’ lives in order to draw out the person who God has made. Women are encouraged to be transformed by the renewing power of the Holy Spirit and also be willing to allow God to use their giftedness for the wholeness of the body of Christ. The ministry of Intentional Sisterhood is about the building up of Christian women to strengthen the body of Christ.

We believe in the Triune God, one God existing in three persons (trinity) – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

God the Father- God created the world and everything in it. He exists outside of time and rules and sustains the earth. Genesis 1:1
God the Son(Jesus Christ) – Jesus Christ eternally exists with the Father and The Holy Spirit and that in His incarnation was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is fully God and fully man. Jesus Christ came to earth and was without sin. He was crucified on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice so that all who truly believe in and follow Him will be saved and enjoy an abundant life here on earth and through eternity. We believe that on the third day after the crucifixion, Jesus was resurrected from the dead and ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. John 1:1-19, I John 2:2-5, Romans 4:25, Mark 16:19
God the Holy Spirit – We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person eternal possessing all the attributes of personality and deity and is co-equal with the God the Father and Jesus the Son. The Holy Spirit indwells, sanctifies, instructs, empowers, imparts gifts and seals the believer until the day of redemption. I Corinthians 12:4-6, Galatians 5:22-25
We believe that scripture (Bible) is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and is the final authority on our lives and what we believe. II Timothy 3:16
We believe that God created man in the image of God and that sin entered into the world through Adam and Eve who disobeyed God. Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:16-17
We believe from that time forward, every human has been born with a sinful nature, are totally depraved and sinners in thoughts, words and deed. Everyone therefore must be born-again (make a decision to truly believe and follow Jesus Christ) to be accepted by God. Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23-25
We believe that salvation is God’s free gift by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone through his crucifixion and resurrection. We can not earn our salvation by works but that faith without works is dead. Ephesians 2:8-10, Ephesians 1:7, John 10:28-30
